Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu is an American singer, actress, producer and singer. A beautiful and smart actress, she's an inspiration for many Asian actors looking to be successful in Hollywood. After a series of initial appearances on popular TV shows, her fame was boosted after joining the cast of the comedy legal series Ally McBeal where she played the villainous Ling Woo. Her sudden fame translated into film roles such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. The actress then gave an outstanding performance as Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. Also, she portrayed leading roles in the failures of box office films like Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she started voicing characters from animated films like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Small screen roles such as Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia failed to produce the desired results. In the course of her recurring roles in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland allowed her to regain recognition as an actress of note. Liu is extremely cautious when selecting her roles in order that she does not become isolated in an extremely competition-driven industry. Though she's proud of her roots, she does not let this hinder her creative abilities.
