Meagan Good's mother Tyra was a teenager when she worked at Panorama City as a manager and her father Leondis Leon Good, a policeman with the LAPD. Her family consisted of three siblings in Canyon Country in California and began acting when she was just four years old. In the early stages of her career she worked as an extra in television shows like Doogie Howser Amen and M.D. At the age of 13, she made her debut in the film Friday. In the role of Cisely an angry teenager in Eve's Bayou (1997) garnered the attention of her peers. For this she received two nominations including her first N.A.A.C.P. Image Award nomination. Good began with tiny roles in films and on TV during a short period of time before moving into mature roles by the beginning 2000s. Her Nickelodeon television show, Cousins Skeeter included her in the role of Nina. The show ran from 1998 to 2001. She also landed small roles in films House Party Down to the show from 1998 to 2001. Minute as well as 3 Strikes. In 2003 she portrayed Vanessa Scott, a character in My Wife and Kids. The show was nominated for Best Actress for the Black Movie Awards, 2005. She then appeared in films like You Got Served The Cookout as well as Venom One Missed, call Waist Deep and The Love Guru. In 2012 she continued to be active both on T.V. Films, she played Mya In Think Like a Man with an ensemble of stars as well as playing Ms. Stevens as Dysfunctional. Kara Killmer's career on screen began in the year 2010 when she appeared on the pilot episode of Simon Fuller's Hulu TV series If I Can Dream. The series revolved around an ensemble of individuals who started living at the posh location of Hollywood California.
