Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a writer from Greece, a syndicated journalist and a businesswoman. She's written 15 books, and she is co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is an author and philanthropist as well as a television host and the owner of the independent liberal online news magazine The Huffington Post. Born in Greece and relocated to England when she was sixteen. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA of Economics. First foreign-born graduate to be elected president in the famous debating group The Cambridge Union, at 21, she was able to take on the role. As a conservative syndicated blogger, after graduating she went on to become the voice of Huffington Post. Her fame helped to attract several prominent contributors to share their opinions on the news political, culture and politics. Arianna first gained notoriety during 2003 when she volunteered for California's recall election, replacing then Governor Davis. Alongside this she also led the Detroit Project for fuel-efficient cars. Forbes listed her the most powerful woman in the field of media in 2009. The newspaper was ranked as at 12th place on their list. The Guardian also included her on the top 100 list of media in 2009. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her head of its media division and also included several the other AOL properties such as Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli is the daughter of Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are management consultants and journalists. Although she had a close friendship with both of her parents, it was their bond that shaped her. From her early years, she showed leadership abilities that are still highly regarded. When she was 16years old, she emigrated from America to United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she was a member of the college debate society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign and third female president. She graduated in 1972 with an education in Economics. In the years following after graduation she became a critic columnist and television host. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began to write her own books with his aid.
